Soooo Sorry its been sooooo long!

Geesh talk about a cliff hanger! Well obviously we have welcomed our newest addition into the world! Here is a picture of him shortly after we returned home from the hospital:
And for the name.... his name is Uriah Justus Knapp he weighed 9 lbs. 2 oz and was 21.5 inches long. So a big baby for me! We enjoyed a beautiful natural water birth that went perfectly and I have pictures to prove it. I am so glad that we decided to have a professional birth photographer so worth every cent.  We are so very blessed to have him in our lives and he is just wonderful. I will have to update with some more recent pictures of course now that he is 3 months and 21 days old already! The time has definitely flown by for sure! I can hardly kept track of the days. We are getting great sleep believe it or not, baby boy Uriah sleeps from around 9 or 10 clear till 6 in the morning, it is wonderful. All is well in family life, but unfortunalty I returned to work just last week so it is super hard to be away from baby! I am lucky though, my husband, Jeremy, is off school until the 24th of Sept and he is able to watch him so Uriah has his Daddy or Mommy with him most of the time. And even after that Grandma will be watching him so we are pretty lucky people! indeed! I will try to update more, no promises though, you can also check out my youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/maidopo?feature=results_main for more updates on Uriah and life as I live it! Thanks for stopping by!

39 weeks, 2 day Pregnant

So, here I sit still anxiously awaiting this baby's appearance! I have gained 21 lbs so far and they tell me that should be about it at this point, so I am thrilled! I have not gotten any new stretch marks so that is another huge bonus! I have gone through A LOT of tummy rubs, butters, potions and creams, not sure if they are the reason, but I would do it again because something worked :) Which also makes me less sure of the rumor that it is genetic and if you are prone to get them you will etc. because I did get them before and this time I was able to ward them off, so not sure but definitely happy! Jeremy and I have another NST appt today and hopefully it will be our last because I am ready to introduce this little man to the world :)

An update, it's about time!

Yesterday was my 34 week appointment. Midwife said that everything look great with baby and she was pleased with how we are doing, to date I have gained 17 lbs and should be just around the 25lb total gain mark if I stay on the current trend. We have run into some financial (not so nice) surpirses as of late and that has been pretty stressful. For my sake and baby's I do my best to just control what I can and hope it works out. We recently set up a fundraising page on a website called Give Forward and hope that might help to alleviate some of the burden so I can stay home for a little bit with baby. I, of course, will keep you posted and you can visit Our page here, it is actually a pretty cool site and if you can't donate, at least stop by and leave a hug!!

Happy days to all~you deserve it!

30 Weeks Today!

I cannot believe we will be meeting our little boy in the next ten weeks +/- this is just insane! I am starting to feel huge and though when I think of how soon he will be here it seems quick, in terms of getting bigger it seems so far away, I am very afraid of what I could look like in ten more weeks...eek!

Our 28 Week Appointment

So here he is, so cute and I am so in love with this little boy. He was yawning at the ultrasound which was adorable! So appointment stats, my BP was normal ~102/68, I believe, weight gain thus far in the pregnancy has been 12 lbs, totally stoked about that! My blood sugar levels have been really good, though baby boy is still measuring long, which is to be expected with a Daddy standing at 6'2" I have been told. However, due to the gestational diabetes risk we will be getting another ultrasound scan in 3 weeks, so yay for that, it will be 2.15.12. And we are now at regular check-ups every two weeks! I cannot believe how quickly this pregnancy is going which, while I am enjoying every moment, is still ok because I am anxious to meet him!

27 weeks 3 days pregnant

Hi all! Everything is going just great we have made some huge strides in the nursery over the last week, being snowed in for five days with no power left us with lots of project time! Unfortunately it also left us with a lot of yard clean up, boo! Baby boy Knapp must be getting so big because he is EVERYWHERE in my tummy, lol! Daddy will be watching him move and say how can he be over there too, but his is. We have an ultrasound scan on Monday the 30th, and I am so excited to see how fat he has gotten in the last ten weeks! I will add in some nursery project progression pictures here and the latest belly shot! Love to all from our family to ours :)

Doctor Appointment Update

So the 24 week appointment went just great! I had to talk Jeremy into not going because he was at school which is like three towns away and it seemed so silly to have him drive up here for a 10 minute apt which they literally are nowadays, so he reluctantly agreed finally!

Anyway, about baby- He is measuring right on schedule and is currently head down! The midwife said at this point he is likely to stay that way so that was a bit of good news. I finally got the nerve up to ask how much weight I have gained, and found out that since they weighed me at my first apt I have only gained 10 lbs. I was stoked to hear that! I will keep the gym visits and healthy eating up and hopefully this pregnancy will be the best one yet!

I was told that regardless of what I am able to keep my blood sugars at, I am not going to be able to birth this baby at the birthing inn, that was kind of a bummer but once I started thinking about it it might not be too bad. To have a baby in the inn you have to leave 6 hours after the birth and that did not appeal to me right from the start. I will be having him at the same hospital as my other two perfect boys and that is going to be just fine. This is a Catholic Hospital and is very easy going allowing for water births and everything so that is all I really need.

Anyway I am surely forgetting a ton of stuff but this is my update for now! Thanks for stopping by!
